Predatory Nature by Damalia

This was a painting I did in 2005 for a class assignment. The predator characters are theoretically upper-class ladies and gentlemen in an upper-class club/bar setting, looking aggressive, drinking blood. The message is about how the upper-class preys on and takes advantage of the lower-class (here represented by the prey species icons in the beer taps). I don't usually down-talk my work, but I can see the technical flaws in this now, a year and a half later. That, and it actually photographed horribly.

Bound Destruction by Mythori

A drawing that took me almost 40 hours.
(35 I think)
Bound destruction was my idea of our future. Destroyed by the third world-war. The weapons, the 'Destructions' are now bound on cravejards of war. Sealed away for ever.
Not much left in thsi world. Only few people survived.
And a small kid looks up to the madness of humanity.

it's not often I make drawings without linearts... actually: almost never. I'm not used to 'paint' digital =( I should get myself to learn it.

Medium: Photoshop 7
Tags: dragon silent war
Hubert the Rooster by Pallas' Cat

My mom loves roosters and asked for a needle-felted rooster for her birthday. Or maybe it was Mother's Day; I can't recall. Anyway, here is Hubert. I was sad to let him go, but at least my mom loves him.

The feathers in his tail are peacock feathers.

Medium: Wool and peacock feathers
Tags: rooster wool needle-felting
Phoenix Feather Fan by Nashoba Hostina

I’ve gone through a lot in the past couple of years… I’ve been hitting a point where my candle has begun to burn low. And when I look to the future, all I can really see is a wall of flame. I have a lot of hot spots ahead, a lot of pain to work through, and a rough trail to walk in spite of metaphorical and actual injuries.

I just hope that I walk out of the ashes as brilliantly as a phoenix.

::Chuckles:: I wish I could put in the rest of the comment that goes with this... oh well.
Lovecraft's Chicken by Grimmalkin

Part of a school assignment in which we were to create a population of creatures and, through what we learned about evolution and natural selection, make them plausable.

And so I took a galliforme and stuck it in a cave for several thousand generations, and ended up with a wall-walking, echolocating, carnivorous, tentacle-lure wattled chicken.

Good times.
"Little darlin' I feel the ice is slowly meltin'
Little darlin' it seems like years since it's been clear
Here come the sun, here comes the sun

A red panda in cute winter clothing, with the sun peeking out from behind the clouds to warm her back...

Happy Chinese dog year by J.C.

Last Chinese New Year was started at 1/28,it's the celebrating pic for that year.
My Chinese Zodiac is dog, that's why I wanna draw a pic for last year.
The 3 dogs,Black bear,Chocolate and Popo, are my good friends in school, they're living in my college,we have a great time during my college life.

The thing in Black bear's hand is the cash gift, we give money to young people,so I can get it too! XD that's why I love Chinese New Year so much! XD
Popo brings roast chicken,we have great meals everyday(almost) during Chinese New Year. And last year is Chicken year,so......
Chocolate takes Festival couplets,we paste these red papers on doors and walls, that'll bring good luck in the new year.

My English isn't well, hope you know what Chinese new year is.:P

Medium: Photoshop
Tags: dog chinese newyear
Elemental Animals by Wolf Nymph

First art of 2008! Four elemental animals done as sticker and magnet designs for Further Confusion 2008, which I will be at in the dealer's room. I wanted to have some fun cool looking stickers I could sell at my dealer's table, and at future cons as well. So I picked a theme that's fun and pretty popular, and everyone can relate to and appreciate. I would like to do more themed sticker sets like this in the future, but I don't have the time before FC.

The originals paintings and the sticker/magnets will all be at FC, so if you're going stop by my table! I've been working all winter break on these, so hopefully someone out there will want some stickers. ^^

Done with fluid acrylics (like watercolour) and coloured pencil on bristol

First art of 2008! Four elemental animals done as sticker and magnet designs for Further Confusion 2008, which I will be at in the dealer's room. I wanted to have some fun cool looking stickers I could sell at my dealer's table, and at future cons as well. So I picked a theme that's fun and pretty popular, and everyone can relate to and appreciate. I would like to do more themed sticker sets like this in the future, but I don't have the time before FC.
