This is my attempt at realism, and I will be trying to do that a lot more. I made this with a field guide to raptors of the world, and several of my store-bought toys to help me. I have to figure out a better way to get it to stand on its own. I know the leg/tail configuration is a bit wonky, and will fix that next time to get it to balance better. The tail should probably be a bit longer too. Now that I've mastered the sitting quadruped and the perching raptor, guess what I'm going to try next? ;)

Hellkitty says: I can has your soul now? The eyes are the safety type but I painted the back to make that effect. I don't know what compelled me to make this, He's about 16cm tall, completely handsewn, and currently staring at me. Based on a pattern by Runo dollmaker.

I picked up yet another May GAX adoption, this time Talika who belongs to Foxymalone. She is a raven/snow leopard gryphon. 15cm tall, 45cm from beak to tail. The wings are nice and soft, so can be folded or spread open.

Another teenified version of Dox, my little catdemon. 4cm high at the ear, 10cm to the tip of the tail. Yes, the tail is massive! Sculpey III on foil and toothpics.

I'm so obsessed with these little things. Yet another little gryphon, this one of Buk for my friend Yankafaust. 4cm tall. I swear his head isn't actually that big. Also the metallicness was eaten by the camera so you just have to pretend it's there.

GAX May - Icaros by Chrysocome

Silver_love's Icaros gave me the chance to try a whole bunch of new things, including wiring, more 3d workings, and more work on dying fabric. Each crest feather is wired inside so the crest can be posed. This was a whole heap of fun, I love the colours and except for a few things, am very happy with the result. Here she is, the penguin that graces my icons, watermarks and signature - Niska the punk/rockhopper. She came out more goth than I wanted, but I still love her. A little critter appeared all over my notes one long boring day. He was known simply as the Snerk. He flapped around going *grump* a lot. A long time after I felt compelled to make him.
